Our Wedding Comments
All round excellent wedding venue. From the first meeting with Sarah and her team we felt relaxed and informed of all minor details and were signposted to local businesses for their services which was really helpful. Sarah met with me on a number of occasions before my wedding date to ensure all my ideas and requirements were met providing a flexible approach to Menus and extras like a candy buffet and casino I had arranged. The day could not have run smoother with Ken Head Waiter/Master of Ceremonies in-charge of creating a calm, organised atmosphere which myself, Paula and my guests all commented on. We had such a magical day, the sun shone and our wedding pictures on the rocked/beach area in front of the Berry Head Hotel are a memory we will treasure forever.
Having my wedding at the berry head was amazing, great view, lovely photographs and staff were lovely they really looked after me and all my guests and made sure our day ran smoothly. It really made our day special.
Absolutely exceptional and outstanding; The Berry head took all stress away from planning our wedding and provided an absolutely fantastic service from beginning to end. A majority of our guests also made specific comment about the hotel, food, service and general conduct as they really did provide a truly outstanding day for everyone that was there (rather than just focussing on the bride and groom). The day was outstanding, and the way the hotel were able to take our ideas and implement was truly exceptional. We can't speak highly enough The Berry Head they really did exceed our expectations and made our day extremely special - and made us feel extremely special, too. Everyone worked exceptionally hard to make this happen.
I couldn't have asked for better value. Nothing too much trouble and the attention to detail was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and the service and food were excellent. The day was fantastic and everyone commented on how good it was. The location is also brilliant and we had fantastic weather, which also helped in making the day so good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any one looking for a venue to go to the Berry Head.
We want to thank you and your staff, for looking after us and our guests so well on our wonderful day. All our worries came to nothing in the end, even the sun shone all day for us but it was the planning and execution for the wedding breakfast and reception that crowned such an incredible day. We knew that we had the best location in Devon at The Berry Head but we must also award top marks to the staff for the care, attention and professionalism that they gave to us on such an important day and during all the planning and preparation.
Thank you for everything; so many people have commented on how well the day went and the beauty and quality of the location. Many had never been to Devon before, so you certainly created an unforgettable impression. I'm sure the tourist board would be proud and whatever awards they give we think that you all deserve the highest !!
If anyone asks us what our wedding venue was like, then this is our total recommendation.
The staff at the Berry Head Hotel provided such excellent service and care on our wedding day they ensured that one of the most important days of our lives was truly amazing. All of the staff catered our every need all day. The food was superb. We arrived for the wedding two days early and the moment we checked in the Hotel took over all responsibility for the preparations, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the stunning views and excellent service. We really cannot thank then enough!! So thank you for allowing us this opportunity.
From the moment we booked the wedding to the day itself, the hotel staff's attention to detail, and service on the day, was second to none, and we could not thanks them enough for a wonderful wedding.
Beth and I were extremely pleased with the Berry Head Hotel as the venue of our wedding ceremony and reception. All our needs were catered for and the service provided to us was excellent. Of particular note was the friendliness of all the staff on the day who, without fail, took time out of their schedule to comment on little aspects of our day and congratulate us. The food was outstanding and was commented on by many of our guests, We have written to the General Manager, Lucinda Chamings, to thank her and her staff for making our day so special. We are pleased to be able to vote for the Berry Head Hotel in the Westcountry Wedding Awards.
The Berry Head was faultless, we had so many good times there we decided to travel 4 hours to have our wedding there, and it was worth it. All our guests also made the journey and were blown away by the food, stunning views and service. Sarah & Eddie Bence were on hand from the very start, nothing was too much trouble. Together with the rest of their family and team of dedicated staff our day went without a hitch, we were treated like royalty. Food was exceptional quality and all 130 meals were served together at the same time and were hot and cooked to perfection!! Ken was assigned to us on the day and is a real asset to the Berry Head Hotel. The made our special day extra special, and we will be there for every anniversary to come!!! Thank you to the team, we can’t thank you enough.
All staff at the hotel were excellent in the run up to the wedding. All our requests were met and the were very helpful in giving us ideas, contacts and calming nerves. The staff on the day itself were also brilliant ensuring that we had everything we needed to look after our guests, particularly ones with special dietary requirements, very well. We thought that the whole wedding was excellent value for money and would not hesitate in recommending the Berry Head Hotel.
Went the extra mile to make our day perfect. They were very prompt and friendly when answering my frequent emails about the day, and make everything so easy for us by arranging everything. The wedding breakfast was exceptional (several waiters/waitresses serving each table and all tables were served at the same time) and many of our guests commented on this. The setting is beautiful and prices really are affordable for what you get. We were so impressed that we're planning to return there annually for our anniversary.
